Genetix Adherent Cell Picking Reagents have been developed to optimize the picking of adherent mammalian cell colonies on ClonePix. The picking process is not dependent on enzymatic digestion of cell-surface proteins (such as trypsin) or ring-cloning procedures, and is thus able to pick colonies at high speed while maintaining clonality.
A panel of four reagents are available (A-D). The choice of reagent is dependent on the particular characteristics of the cells to be picked, and needs to be determined empirically. The panel of reagents increase in stringency from A to D. Use of specific medium that causes detachment of cells should be avoided. The reagents are all free of animal products.
